Governor Ganduje show of shame. Over the weekend, Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, carried out an empowerment programme for Tea sellers otherwise known as Masu Shayi in the state. While delivering a speech at the empowerment programme held in the state capital, Governor Ganduje, told guests at the ceremony that his administration spent N208 million to buy Noodles, Tea, Kettles, Beverages, liquid and powdered milk, baskets, cups, nylon bags, spaghetti, and other materials needed by the 5,200 Masu Shayi (tea sellers) that were empowered. Distributing the items to the beneficiaries drawn from the 44 local government areas in the state, Governor Ganduje said each of them would also receive N40,000 cash as take-off capital.
